Change oil regularly

Clean the air filter

Your generator's engine needs to breathe so that it can ignite the fuel properly and meet your power generation needs. Run an unused generator

If you only use your new generator occasionally, you have to keep it in storage until the next application. When stored, the engine won't be running, and this means that the parts will not have lubrication either. This can encourage corrosion which will cause premature wear to the internal components. To avoid this, you should run a stored generator at least once a month. Start it and let it run for a few minutes so that the oil can lubricate the internal parts. Doing this will prolong the lifespan of the equipment.
