Understanding the Industrial Manufacturing Sector

Hello! My name is Cindy and I am here to tell you all about the industrial manufacturing sector. I am by no means an expert in this area. However, since my husband started working in the sector, I had picked up a lot of useful knowledge which I would like to share here. You probably rely on the industrial and manufacturing sector much more than you first realise. Every day you will use products which have been manufactured in an industrial plant and so it can't hurt to understand a little more about where they come from. I hope you like my blog!

7 Benefits of Using Perspex Splashbacks in Your Kitchen

Perspex has many of the beneficial properties of glass. But in many ways, Perspex is superior to glass. This is why Perspex, not glass, is often used for indoor and outdoor signs, brochure holders and architectural glazing.

If you like the look of glass, consider using Perspex instead. Perspex is the ideal material for kitchen splashbacks.

1. Easy to keep clean

The primary job of a kitchen splashback is to stop food from splashing onto the walls of a kitchen. Perspex splashbacks do this job better than tiles and grout do. Perspex is smooth, which means there is nowhere for food particles to gather and cling to. And because Perspex is highly transparent, you can easily spot and clean up messes after you finish cooking.

With the simple wipe of a wet cloth, you can clean the dirt from a Perspex splashback. These splashbacks are hygienic too because they don't harbour germs, unlike rough surfaces like tile and grout.

2. Easy to customise

Perspex is very easy to cut and shape. This means that you can approach any Perspex supplier and have them create a custom design especially for your kitchen. It doesn't matter how much or how little wall space you have; you can easily create a Perspex splashback to fit your kitchen.

3. Light and easy to place

Perspex splashbacks are light. This means that you don't have to break your back carrying a Perspex sheet to your kitchen. And you'll also be able to easily position your Perspex splashback quickly and accurately, unimpeded by weight and awkwardness. And unlike glass splashbacks or tile splashbacks, which often require the help of an expert to install, you can easily install a Perspex splashback yourself.

4. Easy to replace during renovations

During kitchen renovations, you might want to replace your Perspex splashbacks and opt for a new colour or finish. Because Perspex is light and easy to customise, you can quickly replace a splashback. With little manufacturing time and quick installation time, you can quickly remove and replace it.

5. Strong impact resistance

A kitchen splashback should also be able to withstand impacts. This helps on those hectic days when you have a lot of cooking to do. Although glass splashbacks also have some impact resistance, tempered glass is more expensive than Perspex. Perspex is inexpensive and has a high impact resistance. In addition, Perspex won't shatter when struck by a hard object.

6. Highly transparent

Perspex is highly transparent, even slightly more so than glass if you find a good supplier. This is great if you don't want your splashbacks to stand out so much in your kitchen due to the other design features in your kitchen. And if you already have an attractive backdrop beyond your stove or cooking area, such as attractive tiles or painting, a Perspex splashback won't get in the way.

You can also purposely add other design features to the wall before you place a Perspex splashback. Your Perspex splashback will protect those design features and enable you to enjoy them as you cook.

7. Available in many different colours

If you want to make your kitchen a bright and cheery place to spend your time, then you can go for coloured Perspex instead of clear Perspex. Perspex comes in many different colours, especially if you find the right Perspex supplier. This means that you can choose colours that complement your kitchen's existing colour scheme.

Are you interested in using Perspex splashbacks in your kitchen? Then look for a Perspex supplier near you. With their help, you can customise your Perspex splashback and create something that is both practical and beautiful.
